History
Barrie Bailey, founder of The Bailey Group and former Managing Director, together with Frances Bailey, had a vision to create the most successful Sales & Marketing Company in Australia, offering a diverse range of services to both manufacturers and retailers.
With experience and reputation behind him, Barrie & Fran established The Bailey Group in 1980. Initially The Bailey Group provided extensive marketing consultancy to the grocery industry and not long after a sales division was added to the operation with the formation of Bailey Food Brokers in 1983.
As the company grew so did the need to provide merchandising services. In 1988, Powerforce™ was established to compliment Bailey Food Brokers as the arms and legs at store level. Powerforce™ now offers a comprehensive national merchandising service for both routine & tactical work.
In addition to Bailey Food Brokers and Powerforce™, Retail*Facts™ was established in 1999 as a retail research service, offering accurate & timely information and turning data into knowledge.
2006 saw the inception of RelayForce™, which is a team of experienced and specialised merchandisers who are completely accountable for the timely & efficient implementation of planograms in all accounts, across all categories. RelayForce™ focuses on planogram implementation to complement Powerforce™'s day-to-day operations.
Today The Bailey Group forms part of publicly listed enterprise, Photon Group and operates as the parent company to 4 major service divisions, Bailey Sales & Marketing, Powerforce™, RelayForce™ & Retail*Facts™. Each division continues to be an influential force in the retail grocery industry. In addition, The Bailey Group is establishing itself out side of the grocery trade, branching out into telecommunications, pharmacy, variety & department stores and convenience stores.
